Paul is the practice manager at JMA Psychology. He began his career in the military. After leaving the army, he worked in a children’s home in El Paso, Texas, before returning to the UK. He then spent 4 ½ years in Poland, lecturing at Adam Mickiewicz University. Upon his return, Paul established a successful innovative project aimed at diverting children and young people away from crime, which included setting up educational programmes for young offenders and those at risk of offending. He later joined the Police Service, and concurrently completed his PhD in Psychology.
Over the past 14 years, Paul has cultivated a profound interest in special needs, special educational needs, and children's social care, with a particular focus on advancing the understanding of neurodiversity. His academic and professional pursuits have increasingly expanded into the application of psychology within organisational settings. Paul’s expertise extends to improving employer-employee relations, optimising workplace efficiencies, and enhancing organisational dynamics through psychological insights. His understanding of human behaviour, combined with his practical experience in complex, high-stakes environments, allows him to offer strategic solutions that not only enhance employee well-being but also drive organisational performance.
Paul’s multifaceted background in military service, education, law enforcement, and psychology uniquely positions him to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based approaches to a wide spectrum of clients, from individual families to large organisations.
